Being asked to sign a Settlement Agreement

If you are leaving a job your employer may ask you to sign a Settlement Agreement (formerly a Compromise Agreement) which is a legally binding document which sets out your entitlements on leaving and prevents you from launching a claim against your employer after your departure.

If you are in this situation it is imperitive that you seek legal advice before signing anything. In fact it is a requirement of the Settlement Agreement that you receive independent legal advice from a qualified advisor.

We offer an Initial telephone consultation free of charge where we can discuss the agreement as well as the options available to you.

With Settlement Agreements our fees are normally met in full by your employer.
