Being asked to sign a Settlement Agreement

If you are leaving a job your employer may ask you to sign a Settlement Agreement (formerly a Compromise Agreement) which is a legally binding document which sets out your entitlements on leaving and prevents you from launching a claim against your employer after your departure.
